I chose to create an event design that would be showcased around the grounds of Roland Garros during the French Open Professional tennis tournament held in June. Their event design of the past have always been graphic and unique in their own ways. They use lots of symbolism to represent attractions or previous events in France. For my series, I chose to represent the texture of the clay court surface in which the tennis players compete on. The red clay is the most unique and known feature of the French Open and I wanted to showcase this by using the texture as my main focus. I decided to combine the texture of the clay with the Eiffel Tower and the shape of a tennis racket.
